shanemcelroy asked: Was lurking the skateboarding tag and saw your kickflip problem. The front foot landing next to the board is mostly a problem of not flicking the front of the board, but stepping down. So basically, when you go for the flip, you kick down instead of flicking out. Try putting your foot an inch or two behind the front bolts , with your toes close to the top!
Thanks man. I’ll try to keep this in mind while attempting one!
Kickflips (for me) are such a pain in the ass to successfully attempt. I have never landed the trick, but I’m always close to landing one. The one significant and most common problem that gets me every time is my front foot always landing on the ground next to the nose of my board. I can get my back foot on, but it’s my front foot that always messes up. I’m not sure if it’s me not jumping correctly or flicking correctly, but I really want to get one down someday. As everyone would say, I guess I just have to keep practicing until I remotely and finally land one, then I’ll live a happy skateboarding life.
I freakin’ hate how for certain finals, you have to study for several essay-based prompts (for me in this case, 6), but only 1 or 2 will appear on the final out of the 6. It’s so impractical and it’s a waste of time to study for other questions that aren’t gonna be randomly shown on the test. At least we should be able to know beforehand and not have the teacher choose them on the time of the final. The only good thing I can say about this is I’m glad we’re not doing all 6 of them.
